  1. What is the meaning of Global Talent War 2.0 Why the concept is so important recently?

Global Talent War 2.0 describes the competition of foreign talented workers in working environment. After periods of time for adapting the company’s atmosphere and leaning skills, the workers need to show off how they can be suitable with the organization and how they can contribute to upgrade it as well as  possible with the trend of international development. Nowadays globalization is becoming very common phenomenon in the economy. The domestic employment is not enough for the demand of workers so many CEO import good workers. And the customer is from outside of the country. The problem is that how the workers can adapt with the culture and working style of international organizations. It needs the effort from both sides: the company and the workers as well.

  1. Why so many Asian firms including Japan and Korea did not make a clear performance in hiring foreign talented workers?

It can be seen from the past that Japan and Korea have been impacted by Confucianism. According to Confucianism, filial piety is a virtue of respect for elders. It made young people feel afraid to share their ideas and it is difficult for foreigners to adapt as well. So it would be better if the company provide the short term contract to foreigners to make sure that they can be a part of organizations. For those whom cannot fit with the culture of company, they can change easier.

Rice Transplanting Model is a process of making the seed sprout. Firstly, seeds need to be kept inside the house with good nutrients, temperature and moisture condition. After being ready to be strong and grown, seeds can be transplanted outside. To be similar with the Rice Transplanting Model, Cisco has Inclusive Advocacy Program for foreigners. Cisco gave them time for training, learning, practicing and become satisfied to work and achieve the goal of company.

  1. How can non-English based firms improve the performance of international recruiting?

Firms need clear policies for foreigners to understand correctly and try to inspire them to become global leaders. Workers can be trained with successful study cases to find out what are strengths, what are weakness and set up the goal for workers to achieve. The headquarters need to open mind and have skills to work and communicate well to foreigners. Working environment plays an important role in the way to develop recruits especially the idealism throughout the company.
